) scored the 300th goal of his career in tonight's game against the Detroit Red Wings on a feed by Sergei Gonchar. As long as the team wins I'm happy. The personal records don't mean anything to me if they aren't a part of winning the Cup, the player said in an interview.
A native of Slovakia, Miroslav Satan was originally drafted to the NHL by the Edmonton Oilers in the 5th round of the 1993 entry draft. He has appeared in 799 NHL games during his career, notching 300 goals and adding 298 assists along with 341 penalty minutes. The 34 year old right wing has played 13 games with the Pittsburgh Penguins this season, totalling 6+7=13 with 10 PIM.
