Joe Thornton reaches a milestone !
Joe Thornton(
) scored the 600th point of his career in tonight's game against the St. Louis Blues on a goal by Zdeno Chara. There's no 'I' in team and we have to get everyone playing the same system. It's not enough to just play a solid 20 or 40 minutes of hockey - you have to play 60. Hey, you know what? I forgot the question, he commented to the media..
A native of Canada, Joe Thornton was originally drafted to the NHL by the Boston Bruins in the 1st round of the 1997 entry draft. He has appeared in 631 NHL games during his career, notching 210 goals and adding 390 assists along with 722 penalty minutes. The 29 year old left wing has played 41 games with the San Jose Sharks this season, totalling 21+33=54 with 50 PIM.
