Paul Kariya reaches a milestone !

) scored the 1000th point of his career in tonight's game against the Ottawa Senators on a feed by Jonathan Sigalet. I have been blessed with the ability to play hockey very well. I'm thankful for the opportunities I have had during my career and am especially thankful to the fans who have come out and continued to support the team, win or lose, he said at the post-game press conference.
A native of Canada, Paul Kariya was originally drafted to the NHL by the Anaheim Mighty Ducks in the 1st round of the 1993 entry draft. He has appeared in 928 NHL games during his career, notching 429 goals and adding 571 assists along with 363 penalty minutes. The 36 year old left wing has played 25 games with the Vancouver Canucks this season, totalling 11+13=24 with 6 PIM.
