A native of Finland, Saku Koivu was originally drafted to the NHL by the Montreal Canadiens in the 1st round of the 1993 entry draft. He has appeared in 693 NHL games during his career, notching 175 goals and adding 400 assists along with 512 penalty minutes. The 35 year old center has played 40 games with the Phoenix Coyotes this season, totalling 16+23=39 with 38 PIM.
